ANNABEL HOSKINS, TAMWORTH, NEW SOUTH WALES, AUSTRALIA.
It was only after her retirement that Annabel Hoskins really started painting. The interest was always there, but the time was not.
She is largely self taught, although she has done some TAFE classes in painting, drawing, life drawing, and abstract painting. Pastels and acrylic are her choices of medium, although she also enjoys working with charcoal, coloured pencils, and mixed media.
Annabel loves drawing the human figure and a lot of her work is portraiture, or scenes containing human or animal figures. Abstract painting provides her with a refreshing change at times.
Annabel regularly enters art competitions in the North West of New South Wales. Her paintings hang in private collections in Australia, New Zealand, U.S.A., and Switzerland.
