Tamworth

Exhibition success

"TEXTURES OF AUSTRALIA" exhibition was a great success.
The gallery was really buzzing !
Crowds everywhere enjoying the exhibtion, art and craft stalls,  gallery displays plus the cafe.
The winner for the weekend was the Tamworth Salvation Army, we raised $445 for them.
A big thank you to Gloria Pullman and Sandra Craswell for exhibiting your work and to all our wonderful friends who helped in all areas when needed.
To all our visitors THANK YOU, we hoped you enjoyed the Edelweiss experience and will call again soon.

Inspired by sights, shapes and colours the artists have experienced on their birdwatching travels throughout Australia.
 
Annabel Hoskins (Ashworth) – Tamworth artist. Her works are mainly landscapes, painted in acrylic on canvas.
 
Louise Baker – Gunnedah artist. Presenting sculptural, decorative and functional hand-built pottery.
 
Light meals and refreshments will be available at the gallery.

Collector's item for Country Music enthusiast

Edelweiss Gallery has been commissioned to sell  a real collector's item for the country music enthusiast.
 
Original poster with signatures from the TOYOTA CONCERT OF THE CENTURY September 1998.
This concert was to celebrate the launch of the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre.
 
The event was organised by CMAA..
Sponsored by Toyota Australia
in conjunction with Prime Televsion.

Ol'timey country folk blues duo visit the Edelweiss Gallery

OL'TIMEY COUNTRY FOLK BLUES DUO
 
Duo Buck and Deanne with friend and backup Nick called into the Gallery today on their way to a gig in Tamworth.
 
Rehearsals took place on the verandah of the gallery whilst enjoying an iced coffee, fresh air and wonderful view of the hills and valley.

Edelweiss Gallery is open from 9am to 5pm daily during the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Tamworth Wests Flood Fundraiser Concert

Please support this great concert and help the people affected by the floods.
 
Monday Jan 17th at 3.30pm at Wests Leagues Club
 Phillip St Tamworth.
 
Organized by Carolyne Morris (one of Those Gals), Starmaker Finalist Mitchell Steel and his manager Paul Wilson.
 
Musical Director for this amazing show is Steve Charles.
 
The concert will feature close to 30 artists; including many wonderful local musicians.
The show will feature several Golden Guitar winners; in the guise of "MYSTERY GUESTS".
 
BIG THANKS to WESTS GROUP and their staff; for their support.
 
ALL money raised will be donated to the AUSSIE HELPERS charity. No administration costs will deducted. The charity is volunteer-run and registered as non-profit.
